According to NFU Mutual, heating oil and red diesel are the third most common items stolen from farms. As reported in this weeks Farmers Weekly, there have been thefts in Northumbria and Thames Valley. iLevel warns you of a theft and importantly records the tank level before the theft which makes processing an insurance claim simple.
One of iLevel's customers installed iLevel for that very reason as they had to make a claim previously. As part of the claim process they had to provide tank fill information for the past 2 years and usage patterns so that the amount of fuel in the tank could be estimated. iLevel not only warns you of a sudden drop in fuel level but also stores the fuel level of the tank so should you need to make a claim, you can use the iLevel report to prove exactly how much fuel you had in the tank before the theft.
